Our Icy Straight Point fishing charters and tours bring visitors from Icy Straight Point Cruise Ship port and Hoonah to the natural playground we enjoy and appreciate everyday. The waters near Icy Strait Point have some of the best humpback whale watching in the world with regular, daily sightings occurring between the months of May through September.

Captain Bill is awesome! We have done numerous fishing charters all over the world and this was my favorite. He’s a great captain and we caught our limit on halibut. He also made sure to take his time showing us various mountains and wildlife. we saw killer whales, otters, sea lions, a bear on the beach and a whole pod of orcas. The day was just perfect.

We had a fantastic day fishing for Halibut with Captain Bill! While other boats were struggling to catch anything, and some did not catch even one, Bill had us catching Halibut most of the morning! When your are looking for a guide in Hoonah/Icy Strait there is only one guide to consider - Captain Bill!!!

Captain Billy is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. He made it his mission to not only find us whales, but to educate us about the area and answer any questions we had. His tours are limited to 6 people, so you aren’t crowded or fighting to get position for photos.
