Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 7 days from the date of the tour will be charged an administrative fee of $15 per person. There is no refund for cancellations made less than 7 days from the date of the tour. Cancellations made more than 30 days are 100% refundable.
Weather conditions
What will the weather be like?
Hoonah is located in the Tongass National Forest which is a temperate rain forest. Plan for 55-65 degrees and light rain. We cross our fingers for sunshine!
Transportation
All guests will be met at Icy Straight excursion hub and transported within five minutes from the port to the harbor where you board the Silver Spoon for your tour.
Weather Cancelations
The captain decides whether or not to sail due to weather conditions. If a tour is canceled due to inclement weather, you will receive a 100% refund.
Clothing
Alaska’s weather can be warm and sunny or cold and rainy. We recommend dressing in layers which include basic rain jacket and arm layers of fleece.
Gratuities
Gratuities are never expected, but always appreciated if your captain did a great job!
